The Marianne and Edward Gibson Art Museum is a new purpose-built institution on Burnaby Mountain dedicated to inclusive learning and critical inquiry through visual art. As SFU consolidates its gallery programmes into a single, more accessible facility, the Gibson serves as a platform for exhibitions, public commissions, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the university.

Post Projects partnered with SFU to design and develop the Gibson’s website, extending the visual identity created by INFO CO into a flexible digital system. Drawing on the identity’s nesting motif, we created a dynamic layout structure that organizes content through shifting frames and layered spatial relationships.

Built with Next.js and Payload CMS, the site gives the museum a robust, future-focused publishing framework, supporting exhibitions, learning resources, the SFU Art Collection, and a growing archive of research-driven programmes. The result is a clear and welcoming online environment that mirrors the institution’s mandate: lowering barriers, engaging diverse communities, and inviting meaningful encounters with contemporary art.
